Transparent, Local Pricing – No Hidden Extras
I offer detailed, independent snagging inspections across West Somerset, East Devon, and surrounding areas -including Minehead, Taunton, Bridgwater, Clevedon, and Exeter.
Unlike many national companies, I’m locally based - so you’re not paying extra for travel, overnight stays, or VAT. That means more value, faster response, and no compromise on quality.

Re-Inspection Options
Simple Re-Inspection – from £125
A brief follow-up to check a small number of items (typically 2–5) and confirm whether fixes have been completed properly.✔ Includes a photo summary, relevant Building Regs or NHBC references where needed, and a short letter/email-style format.
✔ No full report is provided — this is intended for quick confirmation, not formal resubmission. To help keep costs down, these visits are usually scheduled alongside other inspections in your area. If a dedicated return trip is needed at short notice, a custom rate may apply.
Full Re-Inspection – from £250
A comprehensive second inspection with a fully updated snagging report.✔ Re-checks all previously flagged items
✔ Identifies any new issues caused during remedial works or that have come to light with time
✔ Includes a photo-illustrated report, suitable for submission to your builder or warranty providerTo offer this at a lower rate than national firms, full re-inspections are usually planned to coincide with other surveys nearby. A bespoke quote will be provided if a standalone visit is required.
If you’re unsure which is right for you, I’m happy to offer free advice first — you won’t be upsold unnecessarily.
Moisture Checks Included – No Extra Charge
Every inspection includes targeted moisture checks using a calibrated, survey-grade damp meter (Protimeter). This helps spot trapped construction moisture — an issue that can lead to blistering paint, mould, or longer-term damage if not caught early.
I’m a Level 2 Certified Coating Inspector and Surveyor (ICorr/Lloyd’s accredited), experienced in surface and substrate moisture assessments.
I’m also currently studying for the PCA’s CSDB Damp Surveyor qualification to expand this aspect of the service even further.
Why Use a Local Independent Snagging Inspector?

By working with a local, qualified inspector:
✔ You get a faster response
✔ Your cost stays lower
✔ You deal directly with the person inspecting your home
✔ Reports are thorough, annotated, and normally issued within 48 hours
Carried out by a qualified Chartered Member (MCABE) with 30+ years of construction and inspection experience (MICWCI, ICorr L2, former site manager).
